# SynergyMMS vs Avero Logbook

The clearest difference is rating: Avero Logbook at 4.8 against SynergyMMS's 3.2. Avero Logbook also leads on ratings volume (462 vs 19) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). SynergyMMS's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Avero Logbook holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avero Logbook has 462 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of SynergyMMS's written reviews are positive against 8% of Avero Logbook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SynergyMMS ships an update every 3 months, Avero Logbook monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
