# New Republic vs AA Grapevine

The clearest difference is rating: New Republic at 4.7 against AA Grapevine's 4.1. New Republic also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 84) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). AA Grapevine's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). Both are free to download. New Republic sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and AA Grapevine sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
