# Cat Hanabi vs Flight Path Alert

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cat Hanabi at 93% against Flight Path Alert's 50%. Cat Hanabi also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11). Flight Path Alert's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 8 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flight Path Alert sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Cat Hanabi asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flight Path Alert holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Path Alert has 788 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Cat Hanabi's written reviews are positive against 50% of Flight Path Alert's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cat Hanabi ships an update every 8 months, Flight Path Alert every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
