# PDF Pro vs Magnifier

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Pro at 4.7 against Magnifier's 1.0. PDF Pro also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 1). Magnifier's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (83% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Pro sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Magnifier asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDF Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Pro has 6.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of PDF Pro's written reviews are positive against 83% of Magnifier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
