# PDF Pro vs ApowerPDF Editor

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Pro at 4.7 against ApowerPDF Editor's 1.8. PDF Pro also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 31%) and ratings volume (6.9K vs 5). ApowerPDF Editor's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Pro sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ApowerPDF Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Pro has 6.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of PDF Pro's written reviews are positive against 31% of ApowerPDF Editor's.

PDF Pro ships an update every 2 months, ApowerPDF Editor every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
