# PDF Pro vs Genogram Creator

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Pro at 4.7 against Genogram Creator's 4.0. PDF Pro also leads on ratings volume (7K vs 5) and review sentiment (60% vs 50%). Genogram Creator's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Genogram Creator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Pro has 7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of PDF Pro's written reviews are positive against 50% of Genogram Creator's.

PDF Pro ships an update every 2 months, Genogram Creator every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
