# 天气预报 vs Thermometer

The clearest difference is ads: Thermometer at none against 天气预报's shown. Thermometer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). 天气预报's advantage is ratings volume (2.3K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 天气预报 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Thermometer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thermometer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 天气预报 has 2.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of 天气预报's written reviews are positive against 85% of Thermometer's.

天气预报 ships an update fortnightly, Thermometer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
