# Lickety Split vs Visual Timer for Kids

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Visual Timer for Kids at 1.5K against Lickety Split's 27. Lickety Split's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lickety Split sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visual Timer for Kids sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lickety Split holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visual Timer for Kids has 1.5K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Lickety Split's written reviews are positive against 72% of Visual Timer for Kids's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lickety Split ships an update every 11 days, Visual Timer for Kids every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
