# Lickety Split vs Visual Timer for Kids

Lickety Split and Visual Timer for Kids both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Visual Timer for Kids's written reviews are positive against 69% of Lickety Split's. Visual Timer for Kids also leads on ratings volume (182 vs 27). Lickety Split's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.4). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lickety Split sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Visual Timer for Kids sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lickety Split holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Visual Timer for Kids has 182 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Lickety Split's written reviews are positive against 83% of Visual Timer for Kids's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lickety Split ships an update every 11 days, Visual Timer for Kids fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
