# GL2GO vs Psiphon VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GL2GO at none against Psiphon VPN's 8. GL2GO also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 41%). Psiphon VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 37 months) and rating (3.9 vs 3.5). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Psiphon VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. GL2GO asks for nothing beyond the download.

Psiphon VPN holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Psiphon VPN has 8.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of GL2GO's written reviews are positive against 41% of Psiphon VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GL2GO ships an update every 37 months, Psiphon VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on August 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
