# GL2GO vs UPX Private Browser

The clearest difference is rating: UPX Private Browser at 4.6 against GL2GO's 3.5. UPX Private Browser also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 37 months) and ratings volume (8.8K vs 2). GL2GO's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UPX Private Browser sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. GL2GO asks for nothing beyond the download.

UPX Private Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPX Private Browser has 8.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of GL2GO's written reviews are positive against 41% of UPX Private Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GL2GO ships an update every 37 months, UPX Private Browser every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on August 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
