# GL2GO vs VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.3 against GL2GO's 3.5. VPN also leads on review sentiment (81% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 37 months). GL2GO's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. GL2GO asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 364 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of GL2GO's written reviews are positive against 81% of VPN's.

GL2GO ships an update every 37 months, VPN every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
