# Dayforce vs Sling

Dayforce and Sling both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of Sling's written reviews are positive against 23% of Dayforce's. Sling also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). Dayforce's advantage is ratings volume (517K vs 27K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Dayforce against 4.7 for Sling. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dayforce has 517K ratings behind it against 27K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 23% of Dayforce's written reviews are positive against 70% of Sling's.

Dayforce ships an update every 3 weeks, Sling every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
