# DrinkControl vs Extinct

The clearest difference is update cadence: Extinct at every 3 days against DrinkControl's every 3 weeks. Extinct also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). DrinkControl's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DrinkControl sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Extinct sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Extinct holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrinkControl has 4.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DrinkControl ships an update every 3 weeks, Extinct every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
