# Tri vs RoadReady Ohio

The clearest difference is rating: RoadReady Ohio at 4.7 against Tri's 3.4. RoadReady Ohio also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 39) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RoadReady Ohio holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RoadReady Ohio has 1.6K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Tri's written reviews are positive against 29% of RoadReady Ohio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tri ships an update monthly, RoadReady Ohio every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
