# Prey vs Senturo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Senturo at none against Prey's 3. Senturo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Prey's advantage is ratings volume (4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prey sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. Senturo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Senturo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prey has 4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Prey ships an update every 4 weeks, Senturo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
