# 3CatInfo vs RTVE Noticias

The clearest difference is ads: RTVE Noticias at none against 3CatInfo's shown. RTVE Noticias also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (63 vs 9). 3CatInfo's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.8 for 3CatInfo against 3.7 for RTVE Noticias. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTVE Noticias has 63 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 30% of 3CatInfo's written reviews are positive against 23% of RTVE Noticias's.

3CatInfo ships an update fortnightly, RTVE Noticias monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
