# Rhythm Pad Pro vs Atelier Melodee

The clearest difference is price: Atelier Melodee at Free against Rhythm Pad Pro's $9.99. Atelier Melodee also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Rhythm Pad Pro's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 50%) and ratings volume (63 vs 5). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Atelier Melodee is free to download; Rhythm Pad Pro costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Atelier Melodee holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rhythm Pad Pro has 63 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Rhythm Pad Pro's written reviews are positive against 50% of Atelier Melodee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rhythm Pad Pro ships an update every 3 months, Atelier Melodee every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
