# The Knot vs Without Ceasing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Without Ceasing at free against The Knot's free with in-app purchases. Without Ceasing also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). The Knot's advantage is ratings volume (222K vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for The Knot against 5.0 for Without Ceasing. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Knot has 222K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Knot ships an update every 9 days, Without Ceasing monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
