# Mendix vs AWS Console

The clearest difference is rating: AWS Console at 4.7 against Mendix's 3.4. AWS Console also leads on ratings volume (6.1K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Mendix's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 42%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AWS Console holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AWS Console has 6.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Mendix's written reviews are positive against 42% of AWS Console's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mendix ships an update every 2 months, AWS Console every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
