# Lightspeed Pocket (S) vs Merchantech Manager

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Merchantech Manager at 100% against Lightspeed Pocket (S)'s 51%. Merchantech Manager also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Lightspeed Pocket (S)'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (6.5K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lightspeed Pocket (S) holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightspeed Pocket (S) has 6.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Lightspeed Pocket (S)'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Merchantech Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lightspeed Pocket (S) ships an update every 2 months, Merchantech Manager every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
