# FlashBuddy vs Flashcards maker

The clearest difference is monetization model: FlashBuddy at free with in-app purchases against Flashcards maker's subscription. FlashBuddy also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Flashcards maker's advantage is ratings volume (667 vs 10). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlashBuddy sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Flashcards maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for FlashBuddy against 4.5 for Flashcards maker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards maker has 667 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.
