# Calculator ∞ vs xFormula

The clearest difference is price: xFormula at Free against Calculator ∞'s $5.99. xFormula also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (85% vs 75%). Calculator ∞'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 55). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

xFormula is free to download; Calculator ∞ costs $5.99 up front. Calculator ∞ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and xFormula sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator ∞ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator ∞ has 6.3K ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Calculator ∞'s written reviews are positive against 85% of xFormula's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator ∞ ships an update every 2 months, xFormula every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
