# Note vs Note Fold

The clearest difference is ads: Note at none against Note Fold's shown. Note also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). Note Fold's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Note Fold sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Note ships an update every 4 months, Note Fold every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
