# Countdown vs My CountDown

The clearest difference is update cadence: My CountDown at every 6 days against Countdown's every 2 weeks. My CountDown also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and My CountDown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ships an update every 2 weeks, My CountDown every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
