# Mac4Ever vs i

The clearest difference is rating: Mac4Ever at 4.9 against i's 3.5. Mac4Ever also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (14.5 vs 16.0). i's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mac4Ever holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Mac4Ever's written reviews are positive against 85% of i's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mac4Ever ships an update monthly, i every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
