# TV2 ØST vs Pling

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TV2 ØST at none against Pling's 10. Pling's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pling sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.49 per month. TV2 ØST asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TV2 ØST against 4.9 for Pling. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pling has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
