# College Algebra vs Algebra Math Solver

The clearest difference is monetization model: College Algebra at free with in-app purchases against Algebra Math Solver's subscription. College Algebra also leads on ratings volume (500 vs 10) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Algebra Math Solver's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. College Algebra sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Algebra Math Solver sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Algebra Math Solver holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: College Algebra has 500 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of College Algebra's written reviews are positive against 100% of Algebra Math Solver's.

College Algebra ships an update every 7 months, Algebra Math Solver fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
