# College Algebra vs Test Prep

The clearest difference is rating: College Algebra at 4.8 against Test Prep's 3.5. College Algebra also leads on ratings volume (602 vs 6) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. College Algebra sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Test Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

College Algebra holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: College Algebra has 602 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

College Algebra ships an update every 7 months, Test Prep every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
