# College Algebra vs EDUBOOKS

The clearest difference is rating: College Algebra at 4.8 against EDUBOOKS's 4.2. College Algebra also leads on ratings volume (600 vs 36). EDUBOOKS's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. College Algebra sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. EDUBOOKS asks for nothing beyond the download.

College Algebra holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: College Algebra has 600 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of College Algebra's written reviews are positive against 86% of EDUBOOKS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

College Algebra ships an update every 7 months, EDUBOOKS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
