# SF Cinema vs CH3 Plus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SF Cinema at none against CH3 Plus's 10. CH3 Plus's advantage is ratings volume (182 vs 17) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CH3 Plus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. SF Cinema asks for nothing beyond the download.

CH3 Plus holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CH3 Plus has 182 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 30% and 30% positive.

SF Cinema ships an update every 2 weeks, CH3 Plus fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
