# Twitch vs Alight Motion

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Alight Motion at 62% against Twitch's 34%. Alight Motion also leads on iOS requirement (14.4 vs 16.4). Twitch's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twitch sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Alight Motion sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Twitch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twitch has 2.8M ratings behind it against 79K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Twitch's written reviews are positive against 62% of Alight Motion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Twitch ships an update every 3 days, Alight Motion fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
