# Twitch vs KICK

The clearest difference is ads: KICK at none against Twitch's shown. KICK also leads on review sentiment (48% vs 34%). Twitch's advantage is ratings volume (2.8M vs 146K). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Twitch sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and KICK sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Twitch against 4.7 for KICK. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Twitch has 2.8M ratings behind it against 146K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of Twitch's written reviews are positive against 48% of KICK's.

Twitch ships an update every 4 days, KICK every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
