# FlipCards vs Study Cards App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FlipCards at 88% against Study Cards App's 44%. FlipCards also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 33 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.5). Study Cards App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlipCards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Study Cards App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Study Cards App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of FlipCards's written reviews are positive against 44% of Study Cards App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlipCards ships an update every 3 months, Study Cards App every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
