# FlipCards vs Flashy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FlipCards at 88% against Flashy's 0%. FlipCards also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Flashy's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlipCards sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flashy sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 29 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of FlipCards's written reviews are positive against 0% of Flashy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlipCards ships an update every 3 months, Flashy every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
