# Pattern Generator vs Prspctv

The clearest difference is rating: Pattern Generator at 5.0 against Prspctv's 1.0. Prspctv's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 19 months) and chart position (#195 vs unranked). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Pattern Generator costs $4.99 and Prspctv $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pattern Generator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Pattern Generator's written reviews are positive against 59% of Prspctv's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pattern Generator ships an update every 19 months, Prspctv every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
