# Mood Detector Scanner vs Lie Detector Test

The clearest difference is ads: Mood Detector Scanner at none against Lie Detector Test's shown. Mood Detector Scanner also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 14) and rating (4.1 vs 3.8). Lie Detector Test's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 11 months) and review sentiment (57% vs 47%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mood Detector Scanner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lie Detector Test sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mood Detector Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mood Detector Scanner has 1K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Mood Detector Scanner's written reviews are positive against 57% of Lie Detector Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mood Detector Scanner ships an update every 11 months, Lie Detector Test every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
