# WowPaint vs Simetria

The clearest difference is rating: WowPaint at 4.7 against Simetria's 1.7. WowPaint also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WowPaint sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Simetria sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WowPaint holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WowPaint has 119 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WowPaint ships an update every 2 months, Simetria every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
