# Spelling Notebook vs Spelling Buddy

The clearest difference is device support: Spelling Notebook at 3 against Spelling Buddy's 1. Spelling Notebook also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spelling Notebook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spelling Buddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
