# mail.com vs Text Number

mail.com and Text Number both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of mail.com's written reviews are positive against 39% of Text Number's. mail.com also leads on ratings volume (105K vs 12K). Text Number's advantage is chart position (#129 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. mail.com sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Text Number sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
