# AMap Global vs Cloud Online

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AMap Global at 44% against Cloud Online's 6%. AMap Global also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (60K vs 2). Cloud Online's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 30) and ads (none vs shown). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AMap Global sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Cloud Online asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cloud Online holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AMap Global has 60K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of AMap Global's written reviews are positive against 6% of Cloud Online's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AMap Global ships an update weekly, Cloud Online every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
