# ZoomNotes vs Sampling Calculator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ZoomNotes at 83% against Sampling Calculator's 50%. ZoomNotes also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (915 vs 1). Sampling Calculator's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and price ($5.99 vs $7.99). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

ZoomNotes costs $7.99 and Sampling Calculator $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sampling Calculator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ZoomNotes has 915 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of ZoomNotes's written reviews are positive against 50% of Sampling Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ZoomNotes ships an update every 3 weeks, Sampling Calculator every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
