# Replicon vs Timecards for EBS

The clearest difference is rating: Replicon at 3.9 against Timecards for EBS's 3.0. Replicon also leads on ratings volume (328 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Timecards for EBS's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 35%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Replicon holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Replicon has 328 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Replicon's written reviews are positive against 67% of Timecards for EBS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Replicon ships an update every 3 weeks, Timecards for EBS every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
