# Meitu HD vs 必剪

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Meitu HD at 84% against 必剪's 61%. Meitu HD also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). 必剪's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

必剪 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 必剪 has 5K ratings behind it against 701, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Meitu HD's written reviews are positive against 61% of 必剪's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Meitu HD ships an update every 2 months, 必剪 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
