# SampleTank vs PASIC

The clearest difference is price: PASIC at Free against SampleTank's $24.99. PASIC also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.7) and in-app purchases (none vs 13). SampleTank's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 61 months) and review sentiment (30% vs 0%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

PASIC is free to download; SampleTank costs $24.99 up front. SampleTank sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. PASIC asks for nothing beyond the download.

PASIC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SampleTank has 109 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of SampleTank's written reviews are positive against 0% of PASIC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SampleTank ships an update every 2 months, PASIC every 61 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
