# Nest vs M1 Touch Cloud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: M1 Touch Cloud at 71% against Nest's 24%. M1 Touch Cloud also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Nest's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. M1 Touch Cloud sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Nest asks for nothing beyond the download.

Nest holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nest has 2.6M ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Nest's written reviews are positive against 71% of M1 Touch Cloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
