# Nest vs C3 Smart

The clearest difference is rating: Nest at 4.6 against C3 Smart's 1.0. Nest also leads on ratings volume (2.6M vs 3) and chart position (#72 vs unranked). C3 Smart's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nest holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nest has 2.6M ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Nest's written reviews are positive against 20% of C3 Smart's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
