# Drybar vs Varnish Lane

The clearest difference is rating: Varnish Lane at 5.0 against Drybar's 2.5. Drybar's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (35 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Varnish Lane holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drybar has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
