# NHL vs Monumental+

The clearest difference is ads: Monumental+ at none against NHL's shown. Monumental+ also leads on chart position (#20 vs #69) and iOS requirement (16 vs 18.0). NHL's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (135K vs 3.4K). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NHL sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Monumental+ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NHL holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NHL has 135K ratings behind it against 3.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 35% of NHL's written reviews are positive against 21% of Monumental+'s.

NHL ships an update fortnightly, Monumental+ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
