# NHL vs Day one

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Day one at none against NHL's 8. Day one also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). NHL's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and chart position (#68 vs unranked). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NHL sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Day one asks for nothing beyond the download.

NHL ships an update fortnightly, Day one every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
